I get a lot of questions from people asking what the difference between an “edited file” and a basic colour corrected ‘straight out of camera’ file is, so this post aims to show the difference and the work that goes into my post processing. As an Artist I feel that it is absolutely necessary for me to give my clients a fully finished piece of ‘art’ for their homes, therefore each and every print that a Client orders from me is fully retouched in Photoshop. Each image is painstakingly adjusted for colour, light, blemishes and contrast and given the star treatment to turn it into a work of art which of course equals a lot of time in front of my beloved iMac.
So, if you have ever wondered why Custom Photography costs more than your local bargain basement studio or “Pixie Photo” booth, hopefully these images will give you an idea of why.
